Centered Composition

This is our chandelier and I really had no idea what to take a picture of so I got some ideas from other classmates.

Derivative

These photos are my attempts to replicate the originals (my photos are the first two). Berenice Abbott was the photographer who originally took these. Most of her work is in black and white. Her main subject is New York City, but I obviously could not take pictures of New York, so I chose to replicate her more simple work. I used my brothers hands but he was really crabby so I could only take a few photos because he wouldn't stand still.

Replace a Sky

This assignment required me to take a picture of a landscape and a picture of the sky. I then had to paste the sky into the landscape picture. I had problems with this assignment because I took my pictures at different times of the day and the landscape picture was all grey and the sky was bright. I took more pictures a different day when the sun was out and the horizon of the landscape was still very grey because of how far away it was, so I just erased the gray trees against the sky and made it look a little better.

Seeing Differently

This assignment was to take pictures of everyday things realllllly close up. I started taking pictures with my Sanyo-really-crappy-camera and all of the pictures turned out extremely blurry. So the next day I took my mom's camera (which is 234039 times better than mine) and the pictures turned out good.

Shadows

I finally took my shadow pictures! Me and my brothers were going around my house and taking pictures of random things and I saw some shadows and snap the picture. Then my boyfriend and I went outside and he wanted me to take a picture of him doing a handstand, so I took a picture of his shadow.

Animal Morph

I took this picture one morning right before school so I did not have much time to get a good shot of my dog, and on top of that my camera had about a minute left of battery. My dog was being complicated and would turn whenever I was about to take a picture.. stupid dog. But anyways, this assignment was a lot easier than I thought it would be and I actually kind of liked doing it. :)
